Cosmetic Procedures

There are a wide variety of different cosmetic procedures currently out there. Some of which should only be done by an experienced, licensed dermatologist. Whether you're looking to improve or eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, are interested in cosmetic peels, or would prefer at-home skin care treatments, the board-certified dermatologists at Advanced Skin Center can help you to get the results that you're looking for.

In-Office Cosmetic Procedures

These procedures are ones that should only be performed in the dermatologist office, as they could pose potential risks for patients if not done correctly. Some of the most common in-office cosmetic procedures available at our office include wrinkle treatments such as Botox and Dysport, dermal fillers like Juvederm.

Wrinkle Treatments

Are you dealing with wrinkles and fine lines that you wish you could eliminate? Now you can help turn back the aging process by opting to take advantage of dermatological wrinkle treatments. Some of the most well-known and popular wrinkle treatments are Botox and Dysport. The products are injected into the areas of the face where wrinkles and fine lines are the most pronounced, like the forehead, glabella, and crow’s feet. The injection blocks the nerve signals that tell the muscles to contract. In turn, this makes the wrinkles relax and become less noticeable. The wrinkle treatments are designed to provide immediate results, but can take a week or two for the results to take complete effect. The effects from the injections last for several months, at which time the treatments should be done again for prolonged results.

Dermal Fillers

For etched-in wrinkles, dermal  fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse are the ideal treatment options for "filling in" areas of the face. As you age, you may notice sagging areas in the eye hollows, cheeks, and the development of “marionette lines” around the mouth and chin. This cosmetic treatment is designed to provide you with a more youthful appearance instantly. The results are not as dramatice as a face lift, but provide a more natural-looking, subtle improvement. Fillers that are injected into the problem areas typically produce results lasting for around six months on average.

Cosmetic Peels

Cosmetic chemical peels can help to improve the appearance of your skin. A chemical solution is applied to the skin during the office visit which makes it peel off in the days that follow. The new skin is typically much smoother, more evenly toned, and less wrinkled than the old skin that sloughs off in the week following the treatment. These peels are ideal for those suffering from fine lines, wrinkles, acne, scarring, and age spots.

At-Home Treatments

Our dermatology offices also carry multiple lines of physician-grade skin care systems for at home treatments. This includes Obagi Systems, Epionce, and Latisse. These medical-grade facial scrubs, washes, lotions, and spot treatments can be used in the convenience of your own home to improve the look and feel of your skin over time.
